Our Team
Eduardo Pereira is the founder and Managing Director of SimpleWatt. With over 12 years’ experience in the Renewables sector, he has co-founded 3 other successful companies since 2019 including a solar engineering services firm in Portugal, and a distributed generation partnership in Pakistan. He now focuses on solar development in Portugal specializing in Distributed Generation projects for the industrial sector. Prior to that he was managing the Middle East region for Martifer Solar, a global solar developer, EPC & O&M company and then Voltalia, a French based IPP. He successfully lead the development & construction of solar PV in Jordan round 1, and developed partnerships in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Prior to living in Dubai, he was a project manager in Australia for a Martifer Renewables, a wind power company co-developing assets with Macquarie Bank. Entrepreneurial by nature, and customer oriented he is excited to bring more sustainable solutions to the industrial sector.
With over 13 years of experience in the field of Solar, Rúben Carvalho’s experience spans across the globe covering the markets of Europe, Africa, Middle East, India & Asia. A seasoned engineer specializing in sustainable energy he has strong experience in asset management, project development and construction. Having lived in 3 continents, Rúben has gained experience in both emerging and developed markets, with a great understanding of the solar market landscape. As a highly committed leader, he has managed different teams. Successively Country Manager for Martifer Solar in Mozambique, Engineering Manager for Inspira Martifer Solar in India and Business Development Manager for Martifer Solar Dubai responsible for bidding and development phase engineering, he has also been instrumental in leading and managing the development & installation of both brown and green field projects, in his role as Project Director at Trina Solar in Tokyo Japan. Passionate about providing sustainable solutions for the future, he has worked on multi technology energy projects, Solar and Wind. He currently serves as a Managing Partner at SimpleWatt.
